Περιγραφή Θέσης

Our client is a Global Private Equity Firm that is in the process of setting up offices in Cyprus, and they are looking to hire an IT Support Officer to be part of their IT Team based at their offices in Nicosia. 

 

The successful candidate will sit directly under the Head of IT where his/her remit will be to provide end user support to approximately 200 users. Providing 1st and 2nd line support to the company, the successful candidate will need to have a strong combination of technical and interpersonal skills and have experience in the MS Windows environment, desktop support and being part of a helpdesk team.

 

The primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide 1st/2nd level IT Support to the employees of the organization.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Responsible for Asset Management: inventorying, registering, tracking of assets (physical/digital), and performing periodic verifications of inventory across the organization
  • Maintain the IT Helpdesk, raise/resolve tickets, escalation to 3rd parties. Provides IT support for desktops, printers, peripherals, telephone systems, and mobile devices
  • Deal with all types of customer enquiries via face to face, email, ticketing system and remote over the phone
  • Prepare workstations (hardware/software), telephony devices and other equipment for users
  • Responsible for the organizing, maintenance and upkeeping of IT offices and storage rooms
  • Manage and administer IT equipment including peripherals

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft operating systems and the suite of Microsoft Office applications, mobile devices running Android and iOS and computer networking
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Holder of relevant bachelor’s degree would be preferred
  • Microsoft certification would be considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP concepts
  • Knowledge of network switching and concepts
  • Fluency in Greek and English language  
  • Team player mentality is a must
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills
  • Politeness, discretion, trustworthiness, and good manners are a must
