A digital banking company are looking for a Business Development Officer to join their office in Nicosia. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an Electronic Money Institution going from strength to strength. The successful candidate must be a confident salesperson, with great communication skills, and speak both English and Greek.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the market and acquire new contacts / leads
  • Visit clients / merchant/ leads / on a casual/ daily basis promoting /soliciting the firm’s services
  • Increase the awareness and clientele of the company
  • Conduct DD and KYC gathering for the applications completed
  • Maintain relations with existing or potential merchants
  • Schedule and book business meetings
  • Hold and update daily performance, target data, as well as assist in marketing activities coordination
  • Ensure that successful leads are smoothly converted into e-accounts with the Relationship
  • Management Team of the Company, complete merchant application package
  • Report to the company managers the findings and progress of the business development activities on a daily/weekly basis, or as otherwise instructed by the management
  • Arrange and monitor the delivery and receive of documentation of the office (externally)
  • Ensure smooth e-accounts boarding

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degrees in Business Administration or related disciplines will be considered an advantage
  • At least 2 – 3 years of customer service professional experience in the banking / corporate and / or payment processing industry. Any previous Israeli market related experience will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong report writing analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English Languages, both verbal and written. Good command of the Israeli and/or Russian Languages will be considered an advantage
