Our client an International Group of Companies with diversified business operations are currently looking to recruit a Systems Administrator to join the IT Department and who will be responsible for upkeep of the company Microsoft-based IT environment.
The successful candidate will be the go-to person for keeping our cloud and on-prem infrastructure running smoothly, securely, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365 services – Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and the rest of the M365 suite.
- Look after Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management: user provisioning, conditional access, MFA, SSO, and group management.
- Manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint management – device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and pushing apps out to company devices.
- Support and maintain our Microsoft Azure environment, including VMs, storage, networking, and backup/disaster recovery.
- Administer SharePoint Online – sites, permissions, document libraries, and workflows.
- Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments covering Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file and print services.
- Keep security tight across all systems – patch management, endpoint protection, and compliance monitoring.
- Own the backup and disaster recovery process using Veeam Backup & Replication, including job configuration, monitoring, restore testing, and making sure we’re covered if things go wrong.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Support end users when technical issues come up.
- Plan and carry out system upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning as the business grows.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in systems administration or infrastructure support.
- Solid experience with Microsoft 365 administration – Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and the Admin Center.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure – VMs, networking, storage, and Azure Monitor.
- Comfortable administering SharePoint Online, including permissions, site management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Windows Server skills – Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, file and print services.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, DNS, and basic switching/routing.
- Comfortable with PowerShell scripting for day-to-day automation and admin tasks.
- Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication for backing up virtual machines, Microsoft 365 data, and on-prem workloads.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to solving problems.
- Clear communicator who can explain technical things without the jargon when needed.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree.
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, AZ-900, CompTIA Network+, or Veeam VMCE would be considered an advantage.
